Aaltje Schreyg is a Teressian actress and philanthropist from Dorch. She became known to a wider audience due to the movie Strandhotel. She has a younger sister by the name of Jette.

Aaltje is owner of two cats, named of Sammt and Seyd.

Aaltje was born in 1997 as the oldest of two children of Naya and Tilo Schreyg in Dorch. Her father is an office worker, her mother was an aspiring artist before getting to know her later husband.

In 2000, her younger sister Jette was born.

2003 saw Aaltje enter Elementary School, the Alexander von Sykane Elementary School in Dorch-Kanalsted, where she joined the Theater Group quite early. She showed talent, according to the attending teachers as well as to those, who watched the Elementary School Plays.

Upon joining the Gymnasium in 2008, the Herzogin Elfi Mädchengymnasium in Dorch-Kanalsted, she joined the Theater Groups there. In 2010, she had her first touch with the silver screen as an extra, together with her sister, in a movie by the name of Geisterhaus.

Her first speaking lines on the silver screen came a year later, in the sequel Geisterhaus II - Todeswolpertinger, where she remarked to the fleeing heroes of the story, that they looked exhausted and asked, if something was wrong - before being confronted with a Wolpertinger. In the same year, she got a larger role in the murder-mystery movie Lichtfest, where she and her sister played a pair of creepy sisters, who watched the murder victims for the perpetrator of a number of murders. They came off as both creepy and cute. She did that all while having good grades in school and participating in rehearsals of the Theater Club.

In 2013, Aaltje began to work as a part-time Maid in a café in Dorch, leaving the Theater Club and having parts in some movies every once in a while. She graduated in 2016 and decided to focus for a year on acting, as she did not know yet, what she would be doing in her life. By coincidence, she came into contact with a movie producer a few weeks later.

In 2017, she played the Female Lead in Strandhotel, together with her sister, and became known to a wide audience.

In the 2018-movie Bahnhofsmädchen, Aaltje played the female lead, a girl, which ran away from home abuse, coming to reside in an abandoned railway station at the end of a defunct line and make her living there. This inspired her to work for charity, particularly for street children.

Aaltje is a cheerful young woman, who loves acting and her sister and her cats to bits.

As a child, she hated wearing the Tracht, mainly due to that dress being associated with good behaviour, but at around ten, she began to like it - mainly due to her mother putting her hair into cute pigtails, which everyone said looked cute.

She is a known philanthropist, working to better the conditions for street children.
