Ava Coileán of the Tribe of Westmeath is a Sworddancer and was, from 2017 to 2023, Ambassador of the Selkie of Ambassador Group 6, together with Felicia Sciotóg of the Tribe of Monaghan. In 2023, in time for the Spring Festival, she announced her retirement from that position, citing, that she wanted to focus more on her sport - rumour has it, however, that she is in a relationship with a fellow Marcach and might soon go steady with him.
Biography
Born in 1988 in the Trossach near Scilly to a family of farmers, Ava had been a farm rider from the day her feet reached the stirrups. As a mounted cattle herdswoman (or herdsgirl, as the case may be), she had some talent, but she had more talent on the ground, as a dancer and as a swordwoman, soon combining both. She began to attend Elementary School in 1994, Middle School from 1998 and graduated High School, the High School of the Abhcan-Temple of Scilly, in 2007. From there, she started to become a professional Marcach.
Character
As a contestant in swordfights, Ava is cold and hard, relentless and dauntless. In sworddances, she is a very expressive and passionate dancer. Both styles mix at times, the hard passion often surprising the opponents.
She is an occassional smoker.
Personal Relations
Felicia Sciotóg of the Tribe of Monaghan and Cara
Felicia, Ava and Cara shared a room more often then they would both like to admit. It was Cara, who made the two to connect as friends and Cara holds a special place in Ava's heart.
Marla, Lilly and Leonard
To fellow sportsmen Marla, Lilly and Leonard, who also found themselves appointed as Ambassadors of the Selkie, Ava has a good relationship, if a very competitive one, especially with Marla.
