The Barghi Automatic Rifle was a semi-automatic rifle in service between 1910 and 1960 in several variants - they are still used today in ceremonial service and by snipers. They, and their bolt-action equivalent, the Majala Bolt Action Rifle, introduced the 7.62x51mm bullet, variants and further developments of which are in service until today.

As a new, powerful automatic rifle, the Barghi was first entrusted to presumably loyal troops, for example the 61st Mobile Brigade.
