Commander Duncan Scoden of the Tribe of Wicklow is the first officer of SDFS Cailín and officer of the SDF-Navy.
Biography
Born in Dolatúr along the banks of the Coill-River in 1985, Duncan had a love for water and sailing from very early in his life. His father was a pilot along the shoals near Dolatúr, his mother a learned baker turned housewife. In general, he had a nice childhood as the second of three children (he has an older brother and a younger sister).
In 1995, he applied for joining the Naval School, which he started attending with entering Middle School in 1996. He graduated in 2004 and joined the SDF-Navy as an officer-trainee. Over the next six years, he was trained in being an officer of the SDF-Navy, being promoted to Leading Ensign in 2007.
