Mara Urgharda of the Tribe of Fermanagh is the current Grand Captain of the Arrowmaidens and the leader of that Order. She is also a Priestess to Lodan Lir herself.

Mara is openly homosexual, married to actress Mavie Urgharda of the Tribe of Fermanagh and has a daughter in Rona Urgharda of the Tribe of Fermanagh, who stems from artificial insemination with sperm from her brother, carried to term by Mavie. For Rona, Mara is Mom.

Her horse's name is Stail and he is a Strainséir.

Mara was born in 1988 in Cuan as the daughter of the Priest Ayden Urgharda of the Tribe of Fermanagh and his wife. She was, from very early in her life, involved in the Cult of Lodan Lir, not only because she was a Cuan-Girl, but also because of her father, who ascended to Arcane Priest in 1995.

With 15, in 2003, Mara joined the Arrowmaidens

In 2011, Mavie and Mara decided to approach Mara's brother Finnegan for a sperm sample to conduct an artificial insamination with one of Mavie's eggs and in the following year, Rona was born.

After her long career as an Arrowmainden, Mara was made their Captain in 2015, taking over from her mentor, who retired to live as a Priestess. Mara immediately began to set up a stricter training regimen for the Arrowmaidens, organized training camps and generally made a name for herself. She quickly began a fierce rivalry with Caollaidhe Fáscadh of the Tribe of Cork, of the Swordmaidens.

Mara cannot into technology.

Personal Relations

Mona Beag of the Tribe of Louth and Amy Banphrionsa of the Tribe of Westmeath

Mara, who had overseen Amy's Training, was not too thrilled when she heard, that Amy would become the caretaker of Lodan Lir's Envoy - time, she would freely admit, proved her wrong.

Caollaidhe Fáscadh of the Tribe of Cork

Mara and the Captain of the Swordmaidens share a fierce, but respectful rivalry.

Both know, that the other would give her own life to protect the other's family, but not the other herself.
